Welcome to Demopendium, the People's Archive. By accessing our services, contributing historical data, or maintaining a profile, you agree to be bound by the following comprehensive Terms of Service. These rules are designed to ensure the permanence, accuracy, and integrity of the human historical record.

1. Archival Integrity & Verification

Demopendium is a platform for the preservation of factual human history. To maintain the highest archival standards, all submitted biographies and historical entries undergo a formal review process. By submitting content, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Verification Rights: During the review phase, authorized Demopendium moderators and archival specialists reserve the right to cross-reference submitted data with public records, vital statistics, and other verified historical databases.
  • Authenticity Requirement: The purpose of this verification is to validate the factual existence of the subject and ensure the entry is suitable for the public record. Entries found to be fictional, fraudulent, or substantially inaccurate will be rejected or flagged for correction.
  • Neutrality: All content must adhere to a Neutral Point of View (NPOV). Ad hominem attacks, promotional language, or biased interpretations of historical events are prohibited.

2. The Under-18 Privacy Rule

As part of our commitment to the safety of minors, individuals under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited from creating, managing, or editing their own profiles. Histories of minors may only be preserved through "Family Entries" managed by a verified legal guardian, and such entries must strictly omit identifiable real-time location data.

3. Content Licensing

By contributing to Demopendium, you grant the archive a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable license to host, distribute, and preserve your contributions. This grant is necessary to ensure the archive remains stable and accessible to future generations.

4. Community Conduct

Users must not use the platform for harassment, data scraping, or the distribution of non-historical "spam" content. Demopendium is a tool for preservation, not a social media outlet for engagement or advertising.

5. Limitation of Liability

Demopendium provides an archival infrastructure but is not responsible for the absolute accuracy of every user-contributed biography. While we strive for verification, the ultimate responsibility for factual accuracy rests with the contributor.

6. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to terminate access or remove content that violates these terms or threatens the security and neutral integrity of the archive.

7. Donations & Supporter Recognition

Demopendium welcomes voluntary financial support to sustain the platform. By donating, you agree to the following conditions:

  • Supporter Name Display: Donors have the option to submit a display name for recognition. However, Demopendium does not guarantee name publication. We reserve the right to edit, withhold, or remove any supporter display name at our sole discretion.
  • Content Restrictions: Submitted display names that are deemed derogatory, inappropriate, commercial, or intended as a joke will not be shown on the public list.
  • Refund Policy: All donations are voluntary, non-refundable contributions dedicated to the operation of the archive.
